GEMLIPID® is an antilipidemic drug and belongs to a group of drugs known as fibrates. These medicines are used to reduce blood lipids such as triglycerides.

GEMLIPID® is used along with diet low in fat and other non-pharmacological treatments (eg exercise, weight reduction) for lowering blood lipids.

GEMLIPID® can also be taken by patients who can not take the most widely used drugs for lowering blood cholesterol.
